In bull riding today the number of points a bull contributes to a rider's score is prominently featured on media broadcasts. But not so long ago these so-called "bull points" were much harder to find. You had to look on the backstage wall of the arena where they were posted for riders.

When a rider receives 90 points or better, he and his bull have performed exceptionally. That 90 point score is really two scores together, one for the rider and one for the bull. The bull is judged on five elements – buck, kick, spin, difficulty, and intensity, and the rider on how well he controls those elements. You might assume the bull and rider are scored equally, but actually the bull's score contributes more then half to the total score. As a general rule, a rider should aim to score higher then his bull to achieve the best total score.

Bull riding can be a dangerous activity to participate in. In fact, many of the professional bull riders have had incidences that could of been life threatening and have led to instant death. This is a traumatic event for those who came to watch the show. Unless you are completely trained, you should never consider bull riding. Individuals who participate in this activity should be aware of these dangers that can cause broken bones, impairments and other forms of injures.

When individuals participate in these forms of dangerous activities, you are required to sign an agreement that states that you understand the dangers. This ensures that you hold no liabilities on the providers or other individuals.

Wrangler Rodeo National Finals Soon

Rodeo events and performances are always a great way for families to get together and have some fun. It is a place that often symbolizes a part of American culture that is unique to the United States. The Wrangler Rodeo National Finals is one example of a rodeo event which will be running from December 2nd to December 11th. It is expected to be the largest family event for rodeo fans alike.
